First I want to say we are not a kennel, just a private breeder trying to do the best we can for our breed.

Saphire has been in operation as a private breeder for over 20 years, breeding top quality champion show dogs and protection dogs, we now specialize only in wolf hybrids (wolf dogs). After many years in the K-9 field, I have fallen in love with this marvelous breed; they are superior to dogs in many ways. They show a much higher intelligence, have stronger endurance, they are healthier and appear to have much higher resistance to diseases that affect dog's, their loyalty can not be challenged, because you the owner become their pack, and with that they are always at your side and watching over you. They do not want to be alone at any time and when left alone they will get into trouble.

My pups are double registered, U.S.H.A. and U.K.C.I. Saphire's Mystic Breeze is pictured on the wall at the U.K.C.I. and on their International webpage for Wolf Hybrid litters. They are timber wolf, crossed with German Shepherd, and Malamute. They are trainable and make wonderful house pets when you raise them with love, patience, knowledge and understanding. They are home raised and will adapt well; they get along well with other animals and just adore children when raised with them.

As with ALL large breed dogs always remember NEVER, EVER leave a small child alone with any large breed dog or hybrid by doing so you are creating a tragedy, large breeds play rough and a screaming child will only excite the animal more than it already was. Always supervise when children are present!

The down side to owning a hybrid is that they are totally demanding of your time and attention, this is not an animal to place in the backyard and forget about, they will become very, very depressed and you as well as your neighbors will know this right away. They will steal your stuff, eat your steak right under your nose, jump your fences, knock over your TV playing and running through your house and when you catch them they will laugh at you, grinning from cheek to cheek. My Breezy loves to grin at me when I scold her.

As much as I love these beautiful creatures they are NOT for everyone. When you take a hybrid into your home you are taking on a life long commitment to love and care for it, to protect it, not only from others but also from itself. They can be the smartest creature on earth, and do the stupidest things and get into more trouble than you ever imagined was possible.

Wolf hybrids cannot be contained without special care in some cases, 6 foot fences will not do. They cannot be chained. They will get mean if they do not hang themselves. Think before you buy, can you afford to care for this animal? And are you willing to devote the next 10 to 12 years of your life to the best friend you will ever have?

All sales require deposit and puppies require reservations. Shipping world wide permitted that local Laws do not prohibit the ownership or shipping of hybrids. No sales to homes that do not have proper enclosures to house the animal being purchased. At Saphire we will answer any questions we can and give you as much information as we can.
